An Invitation to Our New Series
A reminder, beginning May 1, I invite you to join me on a 31-day journey of faith through my devotional, *Walking with Jesus: 31 Days to a Closer Walk*.
Before we begin, I wanted to take a moment to share the heart behind this devotional—why it was written, who it was written for, and my prayer for every reader who chooses to walk this road with me.
This devotional is lovingly dedicated to Anne—my wife, my closest friend, and my steadfast partner in ministry—and to all who have grown weary on the road of faith.
My prayer is that these pages remind you that you never walk alone. The same Savior who called you still walks beside you—steady in your steps and strength for your heart—one day at a time.
I also want to acknowledge the Lord’s unfailing faithfulness. He is the true Author behind every word and the constant Companion on every step of this journey. I thank God for His grace, His mercy, and His presence that has sustained me through both mountaintops and valleys, through victories and questions, through seasons of joy and through nights of quiet wrestling in prayer.
To my wife and dearest friend, Anne, and to my brothers and sisters in Christ who continue to walk this road with grace and courage—your steadfast faith strengthens and inspires me more than words can tell.
I did not write these pages as an expert, but as a fellow traveler. This devotional was born out of my own walk with the Lord—a journey marked by both mountains and valleys, victories and questions. Along the way, I learned that the Christian life is less about pace and more about presence. We grow not by sprinting ahead, but by staying close to Jesus, one faithful step at a time.
Each devotion began as a quiet conversation with God—often in the early morning hours, sometimes through tears, always with gratitude for His mercy that never runs dry. The truths found in these pages are simple, but they are truths that have carried me through seasons when faith had to become more than words—it had to become trust, surrender, and obedience.
My prayer is that these 31 days will help you draw closer to the One who walks beside you—that you will rediscover His voice in Scripture, His peace in prayer, and His strength in the ordinary rhythm of your daily life.
May every step you take remind you of this eternal truth: Jesus is not simply the destination—He is the road itself.
Tomorrow, we stand at the threshold. On May 1, we begin the walk together—one day, one devotion, one step closer to Jesus. Before we begin, allow me this prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for every heart that opens these pages. May this devotional draw them closer to Your Son, Jesus Christ.
As they read, let Your Spirit walk beside them—revealing truth, convicting hearts, and bringing peace to worried souls.
Lord, let every word point not to the writer, but to the Savior. May each reader feel Your presence in quiet moments and find encouragement and courage to follow You faithfully through every valley and over every mountain.
Bless their homes with Your love, guide their steps by Your wisdom, and strengthen their faith with endurance. May *Walking with Jesus* be more than words on a page—may it be a journey that transforms lives for Your glory.
In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.
Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
In His love and grace,
ray mileur
Helping believers walk closer to Jesus, one day at a time.
