Before the phone rings, the news starts talking, and the day’s responsibilities settle on my shoulders, I need time in God’s Word.

I’ve learned what happens when I let everything else speak first. My thoughts chase worries, my mood follows the headlines, and my peace rises and falls with circumstances. But when I open my Bible, I’m reminded who God is and who I belong to.

Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes from hearing the message about Christ. Faith grows as we keep listening to His Word, day by day and verse by verse.

I can’t control everything the day will bring. I can choose what fills my mind before I face it. An open Bible helps me begin with truth and carry it with me through the day.
