Daily Devotion — Walking with Jesus
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6
We all know that moment—when worry wraps itself around our hearts and squeezes tight. Maybe it is a health concern that keeps you awake at night, a relationship that feels like it is coming apart, or a future that seems uncertain. Sometimes it is not one big thing at all, but a hundred little burdens piling up until the weight feels almost too much to carry.
Into those anxious moments, God speaks through Paul with calm and reassuring confidence: bring it all to Me. Not just the big troubles we think are worthy of prayer, but every restless thought, every quiet fear, every burden we carry in silence.
And then comes the part that changes everything: come with thanksgiving. Not because we are thankful for the struggle itself, but because gratitude reminds us that God has been faithful before, and He will be faithful again. Remembering His goodness in yesterday’s battles gives us strength for today’s.
God never asks us to pretend we are not worried. He simply invites us to bring our worries to Him. Every concern. Every fear. Every unanswered question. Our Father cares deeply about everything that concerns His children.
Today, do not carry what God never meant for you to hold alone. Bring it to Him in prayer—and leave it there.
