Daily Devotion - “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” — Galatians 2:20
For a long time, I believed following Jesus meant trying harder—doing more, praying longer, reading deeper—hoping one day I might finally measure up. But no matter how much I pushed, it always felt like I came up short.
Maybe you’ve been there too… caught in that quiet cycle of striving, failing, and starting over again.
Then this verse stopped me in my tracks.
“I have been crucified with Christ…”
That old life—the one driven by pressure, performance, and trying to earn God’s approval—is already dealt with. It’s not something we fix. It’s something Jesus finished.
“…but Christ lives in me.”
That’s the turning point.
The Christian life isn’t about us trying to live for Christ—it’s about Christ living His life through us.
That changes everything.
It means we don’t wake up each day trying to earn God’s love—we wake up already having it. We don’t fight for acceptance—we live from it. And instead of striving in our own strength, we learn to walk by faith, trusting the One who gave everything for us.
That’s where freedom is found.
Not in doing more… but in trusting deeper.
So today, don’t carry what’s already been nailed to the cross. Walk in the life He’s placed within you.
That’s not weakness—that’s faith.
