“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.” Isaiah 66:13
There are days when we simply need comfort. Life can hit hard, hearts can grow weary, and sometimes we carry burdens we cannot even explain. In those moments, God does not stand far off. He draws near.
In Isaiah 66:13, the Lord speaks to His people after a season of sorrow, loss, and hardship. They had known pain and uncertainty, yet God reminds them that His comfort is tender, personal, and sure. He compares it to the comfort a mother gives her child—gentle, instinctive, and full of love.
This is the heart of our God. He is not cold or distant. He sees every tear, knows every hurt, and understands every silent ache we carry. The same God who formed you with care also holds you with compassion.
Whatever weighs on your heart today, bring it to Him. Rest in His presence. Let His peace quiet your spirit and His love steady your soul. You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. The Lord Himself is your comfort, and in His hands, you are safe.
