Ray's Quote of the Day
Quote of the Day
“Love your neighbor the way you’d want to be loved on your worst day.” ~ ray mileur
There are days when loving others feels natural. And then there are days when it feels like a stretch—especially when we’re not even at peace with ourselves.
On my worst days, I don’t love myself very well. I replay mistakes. I second-guess decisions. I carry the weight of things I wish I had done differently. Grace feels like something meant for everyone else, not me.
And yet, those are the very days Jesus speaks into.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Not when you feel strong. Not when you feel worthy. But right there—in the middle of the struggle.
Because the truth is, most of us don’t need help learning how to judge… we need help learning how to give grace. Especially to ourselves. And if we’re not careful, the same harshness we carry inside starts spilling out onto the people around us.
That’s why this matters.
“Love your neighbor the way you’d want to be loved on your worst day.” ~ ray mileur
On your worst day, you don’t need criticism—you need compassion. You don’t need reminders of your failures—you need someone to remind you that you’re not finished yet.
That’s the kind of love we’re called to give.
Not because we always feel it… but because God gives it to us first.
So today, if you’re having one of those days, start there. Receive His grace. Then pass it along.
You may not feel like you have much to give—but grace multiplies when it’s shared.
On a personal note - God gave me this message this morning, because only Anne and God knows how much I hate myself, I trust this message will bless you, as I receive it and pray over it for myself.
