Walking with Jesus — Cast It on Him

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.” — Psalm 55:22

Life has a way of piling things on.

Worries, fears, decisions, pressures—they don’t come one at a time. They stack up. And before long, you’re carrying more than you were ever meant to carry.

David knew that feeling. And he didn’t say, “Manage it better.”
He said, “Cast your burden on the Lord.”

That’s not a gentle suggestion—it’s a deliberate action.

You don’t hold onto it.
You don’t try to carry it a little longer.
You release it.

Because the truth is, some of what you’re carrying right now doesn’t belong to you.

God never asked you to carry tomorrow.
He never asked you to figure everything out.
He never asked you to hold the weight of things you cannot control.

He asked you to trust Him.

And here’s the promise—He will sustain you.

Not always by removing the burden right away—but by giving you the strength to stand, the peace to endure, and the assurance that you are not alone.

Practical Application
Take a moment today and be honest with God.

What are you carrying that you need to release?

Name it.
Give it to Him.
And leave it there.

Let us Pray - Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for reminding me that I don’t have to carry everything on my own.

There are burdens in my life right now that feel heavy—worries, fears, and concerns that I’ve been holding onto. Forgive me for trying to carry what belongs in Your hands.

Help me to release these things to You. Give me the faith to trust that You will sustain me, even when the situation doesn’t immediately change.

Strengthen my heart, steady my mind, and remind me that You are always with me, holding me up when I feel weak.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
In His love and grace,
