Walking with Jesus — His Workmanship
Walking with Jesus — His Workmanship
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
— Ephesians 2:10
There are days when it’s easy to feel like you’re just going through the motions.
Like others have a clear purpose, and you’re just… here.
But God’s Word says something very different.
You are His workmanship.
That word means something carefully made—not rushed, not accidental. God doesn’t create anything without purpose, and that includes you.
Before you ever took your first breath, He had already prepared good works for you to walk in. Not just big, visible moments—but the everyday opportunities right in front of you.
That changes how you see your day.
The interruption may not be a distraction—it may be an assignment.
The difficult person may not be an obstacle—it may be an opportunity to show grace.
The ordinary routine may not be meaningless—it may be exactly where God is working.
You don’t have to wait for purpose to show up.
You’re already walking in it.
Even in hard seasons—especially in hard seasons—God is shaping you, strengthening you, and using you in ways you may not fully see yet.
Practical Application
Pay attention to what’s in front of you today.
Where is God giving you an opportunity to love, serve, or respond differently?
Don’t overlook the small things.
That’s often where His work is happening.
Let us Pray - Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for creating me with purpose and intention.
There are times when I don’t feel like I’m doing anything significant, but Your Word reminds me that I am Your workmanship, and that You have already prepared a path for me to walk in.
Help me to see my day through Your eyes. Give me awareness of the opportunities around me, and the willingness to respond with faith, patience, and love.
Teach me to trust that even the small things matter, and that You are at work in ways I may not always see.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Walk in faith, rest in grace, and trust the One who walks beside you.
In His love and grace,
